This November, we have an opportunity to stand up to special interests and lobbyists, but we need to work together.
Come by the Small Conference Room in the Brookings Public Library this Thursday, September 6th, to help spread the word about Amendment W, the Anti-Corruption Amendment, by connecting with voters across the state.
We will begin with a brief training on how to make calls to a list of voters. After that, we will distribute info materials and begin making calls to other South Dakotans spreading the word about Amendment W.
Please bring your own cellphone. Also, please bring a laptop if possible.
The lack of transparency and accountability in South Dakota has consistently ranked us as one of the most corrupt states in the country. The Anti-Corruption Amendment will ban the personal use of campaign funds, lessen the influence of lobbyists, and protect the will of the voters for years to come. Let's put the power back where it should be: with the people!
